Lionel House, Kamuzinda Children’s Village, Masaka, Uganda

We have recently sponsored one of 9 Homes for orphaned and needy children attending Molly & Paul schools at the Kamuzinda Children’s Village in Uganda.

Each House has its own “Mother” (or “Father”) and is home for up to 30 children.

To provide every child with at least one meal per day, a salary for the House parent and extras such as soap, firewood, etc., is equivalent to less than £3,000 p.a. for each Home.

We are now seeking volunteers to co-ordinate specific fund-raising for each of the other Homes at Kamuzinda. If you are interested in helping or would like further information, please email us at enquiries@lionelhouse.org

New Kabaale Busega Primary School.

A quarter of children at New Kabaale Busega Primary School in Kampala are orphans. In addition to helping with construction of new classrooms at this School, Lionel House is currently working on a scheme to harvest rainwater as a special project in memory of Valerie Corocran.

Valerie was one of our founding trustees who sadly passed away in December 2013.

Her energy and pragmatic approach to problems will be sorely missed. We believe she would approve of this highly practical project in her name to bring running water to the school.
